Furture perspective

I will still choose English as my major in college. Because I have a strong interest in English, and I hope I can make great progress in studying English, and strengthen my English communication ability after I go to a university.  And I think Department of English, National Taipei University of Technology is my best choice for me, and I sincerely hope that I can be admitted to your school. Besides, I consider that I can polish my English ability a lot in your university. I will make use of the four years to reinforce my English. In addition, I would also learn some different languages like Japanese and Korean.

After graduating from your college, I will pursue a career like an English teacher or a tour guide.  Both of these two jobs require a lot of knowledge and a better command of English.

If I can enter Department of English, National Taipei University of Technology, I will study hard and make more efforts to sharpen my English, especially my English listening and speaking abilities. In the future, I will enhance my every aspects of study and try my best to achieve my goal step by step.

Self-Evaluation

I am an optimistic girl who always looks on the bright side.    Whenever I get into trouble, I would try hard to conquer it in order to get away from it. I do everything with all my efforts. As long as I start to do one thing, I would never give up until I think that I really do my possible. At school, I am very friendly to my friends and classmates. Besides, I am a person of  honor,  once I promised them to do something, and I would try my best to accomplish it.  I really enjoy playing volleyball with my classmate.  
In addition, I'm conscientious about my study, and I would also spend my free time listening to English music and watching English movies to enhance my English listening.  I enjoy playing volleyball with my classmates very much.  When I playing volleyball with them, I would fell so joyful. After a day hard studying, this can help me to feel so much  relieved. I always hold the sentence that don't put off what you can do toady until tomorrow as my principle. Thus, I wound never postpone my homework or the thing I have to do.  Due to this, no matter how busy I am, I would finish what I have to do before I go to bed.

I am studying at Department of Applied Foreign Languages in National Tainan Commercial Vocational Senior High School.  English is my favorite subject; therefore, I choose English as my major.  I develop a passion for English.  Even I always get into trouble while studying English; I still try hard to conquer my shortcomings. 
Besides, I had been the class English assistant for one year and I had learned a lot from how to be a responsible English assistant. I liked to discuss and share the experience of learning English with my classmates. We often read magazines then discussed its contents. Although we found it’s hard to understand the content, we encouraged each other not to give up.    
 Besides English, I also have a wide range of hobbies. I have been very active in school activities. I took part in volleyball and basketball competition.  We won the second place and third place respectively. I love reading, writing, music and movies.  As to my personality, I am creative, optimistic, determined, willing to help others.
During my high school life, I served as a vice class leader for one semester. I have to help class leader and teacher and sometimes I have to deal with some students' chores.  I took the General English Proficiency Test and passed the elementary level.  After that, I took the intermediate level of GEPT.

My name is Hsiao, Yi-Wen and I was born in an ordinary but wonderful family in Tainan. There are three people in my family, mother, father and I. I am the only child in my family, so I would train myself to be more independent. My father always tells me that I should do everything with all my efforts for fear of regretting. Whenever I get into trouble, I will relentlessly ask myself  if I do my best. If not,  I would try to solve the  problem again.  My mother is a gentle and  kind-hearted person, and she has taught me a lot of methods about  how to get along with other people.  Besides, she certainly has great influence on me, and I always look up to her. Her passion and dedication to family are the best things she gives me. She never forces me to do anything I don't like to do. She gives me much freedom of choice. That's why I can develop my hobbies on my own.

  I am Tao. My English name is Angela. I am 17 years old. I am from Taipei First Girls' High School. I come from a well-to-do family. My mother passed away when I was in my first junior high year. My father is a computer engineer and remarried three years ago. My stepmother is an elementary school teacher. So I have a sweet stepbrother, who is now in the sixth grade. My grandparents live with us as well. My family get along pretty well.
    Throughout my school years, my academic results have always been pretty good, except in the second half of the first year and the first half of the second year. It is because my mother's death was such a trauma to me. It took me more than a year to get better. My father was afraid that I would turn bad after that. So he encouraged me to join many extra-curricular activities. He sent me to piano class, ballet class and art class.
    His purpose was that through music and art, I would find a way to release my pain so that my heart would be comforted. I am very grateful to my father's caring and thoughtful consideration. Ever since then, music is my spiritual guide and gradually becomes my most intimate companion. I then practice the piano very hard and make up my mind to become a pianist.
    In my high school years, I have taken any chance to participate in school activities. I join the choir and jazz club, both clubs offering plenty of contests and performances for many occasions. We have won many contests and had been invited by the Mayor to perform in City Hall. I am also the member of art club, for I enjoy sketching and painting very much.
    Every time when I have chance, I would go to the music theater to listen to symphony and orchestra performances. There is not once I would not be moved by the music. I really admire those musicians' talent, passion and dedication to music. I wish one day I would be able to become one of them, performing on the stage and touring around the world. That's my passion and expectation to myself. I hope you would give me a chance to fulfill it.
